About Atlas XR

Atlas XR is the studio behind one of the most innovative and top-selling titles on the Meta Quest store. We're a small, technically deep team building the next generation of physics-driven VR experiences, and a creator SDK that lets our community extend the game in ways no one else in VR is enabling.

The Role

We're hiring a part-time QA Tester to help us ship faster and cleaner. You'll spend your time inside both our flagship VR title and our companion Modkit, hunting down issues, validating fixes, and making sure every build that reaches our players holds up to the standard our community expects.

This isn't a checklist QA role. We want someone who plays with intent, thinks like a player and a creator, and can communicate clearly enough that engineers can act on a report without a follow-up call.

What You'll Do
  • Test new features, builds, and patches across Meta Quest and PCVR

  • Stress-test the Modkit by building, importing, and breaking content the way our creators do

  • Reproduce, isolate, and document bugs with clear repro steps, logs, video, and severity assessment

  • Triage and prioritize incoming issues from internal builds, beta testers, and the creator community

  • Maintain and update our issue tracker (Jira), keep tickets clean, deduplicated, and properly tagged

  • Run regression passes on critical systems before each release

  • Verify fixes and close the loop with engineering

  • Surface patterns: when ten bugs share a root cause, you're the one who notices

What We're Looking For
  • Prior QA experience on a shipped game, or strong demonstrated ability to test methodically

  • Comfort with Jira, Git basics, and reading crash logs

  • Clear, concise written communication, your bug reports save engineering time, not waste it

  • Self-direction: you can run a test plan without daily check-ins

  • Available for a consistent weekly schedule, with overlap into European or North American working hours

Nice to Have
  • Familiarity with Unreal Engine projects (you don't need to code in it, but knowing your way around helps)

  • Experience testing multiplayer / networked games (replication bugs, listen server quirks, EOS)

  • Modding background, or experience testing UGC tools and SDKs

  • Performance profiling intuition on Quest hardware

  • Active in VR communities (Discord, Reddit, mod.io)

  • Real experience with VR, you own a Quest (and a PCVR setup) and play regularly

Why Atlas XR
  • Work on a title that genuinely sits at the top of the Meta Quest store

  • Small team, direct access to engineering and leadership — your reports land with the people who fix them

  • Flexible hours, remote-first

  • Real influence on what ships
